Our highly popular tutorial packages offer structured overviews of some of AVE’s prime programs. Each tutorial is an intensive overview of the subject, and includes structured homework, responsive homework, and guidelines for future practice. Tutorials are appropriate for individuals and for small groups.

Foundations of SAT Math

Our most popular tutorial teaches students the advanced math techniques that differentiate AVE’s approach from standard, mass-market approaches. The course consists of 10 one-hour lessons along with homework.

Fees: $2000 for one student, $300/each additional student. SAT Math Cognition is included for free.

Foundations of SAT Reading

Learn the analytical reading techniques used by those who earn perfect critical reading scores. Using passages from the LSAT, GRE, and SAT, you will develop a rigorous and analytical approach to both fiction and nonfiction SAT passages, while learning useful tips and techniques. Focus, as always, will be on the harder, inference-based questions. The course consists of 10 one-hour sessions along with homework, and includes our rigorous vocabulary-building program.

Fees: $2000 for one-student, $300/each additional student. Vocabulary Synapse is included for free.

Foundations of SAT Grammar

An in-depth analysis of SAT grammar, this tutorial teaches students to rapidly analyze the grammar of any sentence, and to use this ability to easily find grammatical errors. The course consists of 8 one-hour sessions along with homework.

Fees: $2000 for one student, $240/each additional student.

The SAT Essay

Develop your writing and rhetorical skills as you learn to write essays tailored to the college board’s highly specific rubric. The course consists of 6 one-hour sessions, plus homework.

SAT II Math Level II

A rigorous approach to the SAT II Math Level II, this course teaches you how to solve the toughest problems on the test. After this tutorial, most students earn 800s, and almost all students earn scores above 750. The course consists of 8 one-hour sessions, plus homework.

SAT II Math Level I

An intensive overview of the SAT II Math Level I, this course covers both fundamental and advanced problems. The course consists of 8 one-hour sessions, plus homework.

SAT II Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

Few if any schools adequately prepare students to succeed on the SAT II science tests. AVE’s rigorous approach has helped countless students earn 750+ scores on these tests. Each course (e.g. SAT II Biology only) consists of 8 lessons in addition to homework.

ACT: Science Reasoning

The Science Reasoning portion of the ACT differs from anything on the SAT. AVE’s course rigorously trains students to succeed on this test. The course consists of 8 one-hour sessions in addition to homework.

Foundations of Calculus

This hugely popular course has been used by valedictorians at some of the most competitive schools, students who gained acceptance to Harvard, and by countless other competitive students. Rigorously learn all the key concepts of Advanced Placement Calculus (either AB or BC, depending on your preference). This course is generally done during the summer, and prepares you to dominate your competition in these challenging and respected courses. The course consists of 12 one hour sessions in addition to homework.

Fees: $3000 for one student, $360/each additional student.

Foundations of Algebra

You can take this course before Algebra I to give yourself a huge advantage over your peers, or after Algebra I to strengthen any weak spots in your foundation. Pave the way for success in Algebra II, Precalculus, SAT math, SAT II math, and college. The course consists of 12 one-hour lessons in addition to homework.

Fees: $3000 for one student, $360/each additional student.

Rapid Analytical Reading

Learn how to effectively and rapidly analyze GRE and GMAT reading passages, using AVE’s analytical reading techniques. You will learn ways to rapidly and accurately analyze the longest and most complex sentences, and to use effective methods of logical inference based on evidence to confidently and correctly answer the toughest questions.

LSAT/GMAT Arguments (a.k.a. Logical Reasoning)

Learn how to solve fundamental and advanced LSAT and GMAT argument questions in this intensive, 10 session tutorial. Review the fundamental rules of logic and common logical fallacies while you learn to effectively analyze each argument rapidly and effectively.
